Why does Fauci get so much flack?

Listen I’m not a big fan or anything but I don’t get why so May people think he’s like a James Bond villain
I think he did a poor job handling Covid but it was not some intentional diabolical scheme
He simply didn’t know what to do in that situation
It was a new virus that had never been seen and he erred on the side of caution, excessively so I can see why giving him flack for that. But if he was too gun ho on opening things up and Covid ended up being worse than it ended up being, it would’ve really destroyed his reputation and he’d have blood in his hands
I think he deserves criticism and failed to handle the pandemic well but I also don’t think he’s some evil mastermind. Mostl likely he’s just an idiot who was in over his head.

I think he catches clack over the sinister things he has done. I don’t have a problem with how he handled Covid because I think anybody would have failed with that placed on them.
