Yep and so did the French, Spanish, Portugese, English, Germans, Arabs (still to this day) and every tribe in Africa at one time or another. Not to mention the financial end was handled by Jews in the Northeast.

So what's your point? It's been over for over 150 years?
In the vast majority of the third world many people, especially women are treated like farm animals.

What do you want a prize?

I'm only commenting about how these men are portrayed in our present day society. We because of these men are made out to be the bad guy in everybody's opinion except of our own.
Again I'm not a liberal, I lean conservative on every issue.

The statues didn't help our perceived reputation. That is all.

Who cares what other countries have done. It only matters what's been done in the U.S. I'm on your side but I can understand where the hatred comes from. Perception is everything and we(white southern men) are losing the battle.

Losing what battle? I’m not sure what your point is?

So ask yourself why that is some 150 years later that these figures that went on to have good relationships with the black community are now denigrated and history is being revised to reflect it. Who could possibly have an axe to grind in 2018 to this point?

Black people tell me all the time what I should do so why can’t I? You racist or something?
