Total bullshite! You can't really live in TX, right? Isolated in College Station maybe?
I was wondering the same.
But….
There are some good points on the mass unchecked immigration in here though that I hadn’t thought of. I’m going by an example size in small town east Texas. When millions come together, they don’t have to mix in, they can keep everything the same in their community.
It was good to read the post from NARAX about his family. He’s exactly who I’m talking about when I speak of my experiences. Hundreds just like that around me.

Assimilating to a new culture is very difficult. If you don't have to do it, you won't do it. There is no pressure to assimilate. There are only free handouts for invading the country.

There’s plenty that assimilate well.
But there’s some self-selection going on for those coming here.
1) They’re coming illegally so there’s some willingness to flout the legal system.
2) Most are younger males. So you have a demographic that’s going to have a higher prevalence of violent crime just because they’re younger men.
3) Without their family structure in the country, they can become untethered from any accountability or responsibility. The area of Guatemala that I visit has a huge percentage of their males who have come to the US. Many of them never send a dollar back home, leaving wives and children with no support.
So, it’s not a good system to encourage lawful behavior and building society.

They can not read or write in their native language, a skill necessary to learn another language such as English.
This is an interesting point I hadn’t considered. Many of the Xiche in Guatemala don’t read their language. It’s primarily oral. The written language was created (oftentimes by missionaries) in the past 50 years or so.
They go to school and learn Spanish in school. But many don’t continue past what we would consider middle school.

Because they're not expected to while we're expected to learn Spanish to accommodate them.

Have you taken a look at our society? I don't want to assimilate into it either.

Hey I'm 4th generation Mexican. I speak English so does my father and his father. WTF? Oh and in case you were wondering... Trump supporters.

My experiences with Mexicans has been different. The ones I've worked around are hard workers and respect America. Almost all of my contact with them are on the job, and overall they are better workers than the average American.

They assimilate better than some minorities
Posted on 9/2/24 at 4:51 pm to texag7
Because they, genetically, aren't as smart as us
Posted on 9/2/24 at 4:55 pm to texag7
Because like it or not we are getting the least educated and skilled of them . Thet have lived in a way that didn't reward education and upper mobility, so they are who they are.

I see that you really don't have a lot of contact with Mexicans. Mexicans especially out of Northern Mexico speak and understand English quite well. They are bombarded with American TV and radio on a daily basis
I dealt with a Mexican roofing crew. When you start talking business with them....dollars, they are very fluent. I've found it with Mexican guys who do construction as well. When they are around Mexicans they speak Spanish....when they deal with Angelo's, they can speak English, unless you're a jerk then they return the favor by forgetting English

That bonfire tragedy was so joyful for you people.
You people? How so? An engineering college couldn't find anyone smart enough to build a bonfire? Think about how they decided to do it. Wrapping layers of logs standing vertically with fencing material? He exemplifies that level of stupidity.

We Irish did not either. Their kids will. But we need the wall.
