all politicians spin the truth, outright lie, or deflect ALL of the time depending on the circumstances. There is an angle for everything. But we cannot have it both ways----republicans cannot condemn Democrats for lying and tolerate it in the Republican party just like Democrats cannot demand due process in one instance and abandon it in another situation. Liberals lie so much because, like religious cults, they have to lie to cover for the other lies...and it has to be done fervently. They have to stay on message so to say as well. This is why you see little deviation in their ranks in most aspects...again similar to cults. Any dissent usual carries the boom hammer as a likelihood to follow. Look how quick they turn on their wandering sheep of the flock. On the other hand conservatives can't keep their ranks together for just about anything so as bad as that can be, there is something to be said for that as well.
