Because they want socialism.
The rich liberals want it because they'd be part of the "elitist class" and continue to gain at the expense of the socialized lower classes.
The poor liberals want it because they want a piece of the other socialized lower classes' pies.
Remember, rich liberals, just like European socialist "elites," want socialism for everyone else - just not themselves.

These people aren't going to be deported, nor should they. However, granting citizenship sets a dangerous precedent, and I hope we don't do this again 20 years down the road. Build the wall, end chain migration, fix Barry's Deferred Children mess, but do it after the budget is agreed upon.

Couldn't you also ask why republicans hate America? Founded as a country for those to escape religious oppression, republicans want to ban all those who are Muslims and worship a certain god that isn't their own.

That's odd. I see no calls to ban Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Sikhism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism, Confucianism, Shintoism, Atheism, stupid spaghetti-monsterism, or any other religion. The United States I love, all people are created equal. They are free to come and go. You can worship who you want. You can critcize the government without fear of retribution. We set the example for other countries (or at least we used to) to follow with our honor, empathy and respect for others. The military is the world's strongest and best. It defends and protects us and our values.
criticizing the govt is not the issue. govt overreach is the issue. the left is ok with it. the right is not because it infringes upon liberty.
other countries don't want an "example." they want to tear us down. they want to condemn the us as backwards even though the us is more successful in basically every way conceivable. they criticize us despite the fact that we send untold money in humanitarian aid to the whole world. we send our military to protect freedom the world over. we fund nato, etc. we have real enemies who want to destroy you and your tolerance which means the left's positions on the border and immigration are naive and unrealistic.
