Perhaps they only see the civilian pointing up at the roof trying to get their attention. How long was the sniper hidden by the peak of the roof line before he popped up and took his first shot? I doubt he climbed up the side of the building facing Trump’s venue.

Obviously a failure to secure the roof, but it’s not yet clear how long he would have been visible to the counter snipers before they returned fire.
I want to see a picture of the ladder he used. Surely some local PD got a pic after the fact.

Is it affixed? Is it a portable extension ladder? What vehicle did he come in? We know he didn't park right there... he walked across a field. Did he walk across a 20 acre field carrying an extension ladder to the most advantageous perch of the whole facility that the SS chose not occupy or at least put a drone/camera on uninterrupted.

I can’t clip it but I’m replying to the picture trying to show why the SS counter snipers may not have had a clear shot or sight line of assailant due to the tree.
1) That very same tree, from this picture, also appears to be in the line of assailant & Trump! So how did he shoot? Was his building that much taller that the roof was above the tree???
2) If so then that is another failure of SS to not have high ground.
3) Even if that SS team could not see him due to roof slope, SURELY they knew that & documented in strategy & would have another SS team that would have clear sight of the rest of the building huh??

Just several WTFs here. I hate to scream conspiracy but this is either an epic fail & utter ineptitude of the SS planning & execution of protection of a former president & current presidential candidate OR high ranking SS people were in on it…
Bongino says he confirms that multiple requests for additional security for Trump have been turned down.
Don’t really believe this one but the four Chan post of the guy claiming to be the SS Sniper claims he had eyes on for 3+ minutes & was denied permission to engage.
Then you have multiple witnesses from ground level that see assailant armed with a rifle climb a ladder to the roof & they informed cops on ground & waved & pointed at SS to alert them for minutes and nothing was done until shots were fired

I’m curious how the radios would work here. Is everyone on the same channel? If a spotter/sniper/ foot patrol sees something suspicious what’s the communication events to get the VIP off the stage?

If someone saw something prior to shots, what series of events would have needed to hide Trump. I’d think the spotters and patrolman would report to a leader, and that leader makes the call to the SS guarding the VIP? So it’s possible the leader was the breakdown and not the boots on the ground? It seems very hard to believe that with multiple civilian claims, not a single boots on the ground person threw up a warning.

How was he allowed up on that roof in the first place?
