I agree with this. By many accounts it often seems Trump and the core MAGA base don’t worry too much about attracting any potential new voters.

One is either already all in or you’re against them.

As I’ve often said before Trump has my vote in the general regardless but the apparent assumption/strategy that he already has all the support he needs is a ballsy one that I can see backfiring.

We’ll all be seeing how it plays out in a year.

But most sadly is the fact that with just an ounce of fricking maturity he could have radically and fundamentally changed the direction of our nation. Instead he wanted to show DC how the art of the deal is done.

By fiat is not a thing here. He could’ve only done so much with the slim majority he had. Not to mention 24/7 bashing from the media and investigation after investigation.

It's clear

You will have two options to vote for.

Are you going to vote for someone who...

A) - loves wars, loves having an open insecure border / loves paying extra for a lot of shite / loves stupid paid-for riots / loves high crimes in cities / loves zombies walking around their cities shitting and pissing on every sidewalk / loves looking at tent cities / loves paying more for electricity / loves losing jobs to underqualified people because they were gay or brown / loves seeing businesses leave America to relocate over seas / loves sending trillions of dollars to other countries / loves driving on fricked up roads and bridges

or are you going to vote for someone who...

B) - is CLEARLY against ALL of that.

By now, if you cannot distinguish between the two then you are an idiot.

"Ohh I don't like Trump because he is soooo mean on Twitter so I'm not going to vote next year" means that means you support A and don't give a frick about this country - and you are an idiot.

Brilliant reasoning powers there mensa. I quoted two of your posts, therefore I won’t vote for Trump if he’s the nominee.

So is the current president and unfortunately, the person who you want to be next President won't even sniff close to being the nominee

So, since you have made up your mind and not voting for him no matter what, at least he is getting a lot more dumbasses loyal to supporting him.

I'm sure he would much rather win 10 new dumbass supporters then trying to waste his time trying to make your 1 smart voter like him.

It's called marketing. Lose 1 hater but gain 10 new supporters. And you are calling him the dumbass? You should look into the mirror for falling for it.

This is a pretty good example of not giving a shite about attracting new voters.

Most Americans are not on this board and likely don’t pay as much attention to politics on a daily basis as we do. These are the potential swing voters/undecideds that Trump could be making an effective case to based on his record and (as some put it), “boring policy”.

But the more ardent Trump supporters don’t want to hear that. The impression is given anyway that everyone should have their mind made up already and if it isn’t MAGA, then those people aren’t needed because they’re idiots.

Maybe a huge chunk of the population is, in fact, but still gonna need some of those folks imo.

He doesn't need to attract new voters. Just look on the news at what's happening in this world.

Again, it's either A or B - There is no in between in this election

If you love what's happening today in America, then by all means vote for A

If you don't like what's going on in today's America , then vote for B

If you don't like Trump and will sit out this election, then it shows that you support A

It’s not about me and I can’t make any more clear than I have already that Trump has my vote in the general.

As for your contention that he doesn’t need to attract new voters….I could not disagree more.

But by all means, continue on with the arrogant approach and let’s see how that works out for us in a year.

The guy is a brand building, marketing wizard who knows his customer better than he knows his own thumbprint, why would he change? He campaigned yugely on “lock her up” and “and I’ll make Mexico pay for it”. Then laughed years later that people took him literally

Hell I don’t know why he’s not out rallying around completely erasing the federal deficit and colonizing Mars his first year back in office
