I would start with how many were justified. Then I would find out how many were cop by suicide, then I would ask of the handful left how many saw an officer charged. Then I would show them the uncharged murders in the US for the same timeframe and point out that uncharged murder rate involving cops is .1% of uncharged murders in this country and while it’s possible it’s also extremely unlikely to happen. With almost zero chance if you don’t put yourself in a position (i e illegal activity) to force a tense interaction with police.
That’s how I would respond. Explain it’s overblown and include personal responsibility

As much as I bitch about leftists - we’re all just people. One of my favorite expressions are: We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are.
Events like the Floyd death we see as “we are.” We’re either defensive bc we identify with him, or defensive bc we identify with the cops.
Where I depart from leftists is the inability to see that the shite they consistently advocate for has been tried over, and over, and over again- fails. And that they are usually too stupid to see that the policies they claim they are advocating against (fascism/discrimination) is usually what they are actually unwittingly advocating FOR! (Look at people only as members of their “group/government forced loving each other).
Floyd’s death and the moronic leftist Gvt that allowed its cops to remain employed after multiple complaints, needs to be investigated by the Fed Gvt to make sure that no state is violating due process.
Antifa needs to be dismantled And jailed like the terrorist POS they are. And their A portion of assets should be given over to Floyd’s family - and the remainder to the businesses they harmed.

This is precisely why it was important for trump to label Antifa as a terrorist organization.
Everything you mentioned above already took place in 2016 before the election. Trump supporters were beaten by Antifa.
The convention in Cleveland was relatively calm.
But the campaign rallies were nightmares in blue states.
The media will have to finally call Antifa for what it is sooner or later.
