My parents were Republican and they raised me right on principles, but I don't vote like them bc they taught me right from wrong and not to hate, lie, etc like all those bible stories.

I also rejected religion for the same reasons. Still atheist to this day and lean left on many subjects.
However, I now regret voting Democrat the majority of my voting years. I helped usher in a lot of this garbage that many spew today. Republicans aren't much better, but at least they are not demonic like the democrat party has become.

The middle is how the US cohabitates so far.
Many people are too far either way and this is the real problem.
