Eh, not really true. I work in criminal law, and yes releasing too much can jeopardize investigations, victims, dangerously disclose confidential informant identities, and implicate innocent people in the public's mind.
The administration has been denied on multiple requests to release things like grand jury testimony. If Trump of all people were implicated, or even associates, "the files" would have been released already.
I mean it's all been handled poorly, but unfortunately I see no "there" there.

- alot of voters went to Trump because Kamala/ Biden were unpopular and despite the numbers and stock market, the economy isnt good for alot of people. 1 year in, Trump is feeling the same negativity from voters. and his approval rating is dropping because of it.
- this board ignores the fact that Trump struggled to gain separation from Kamala in 2024 until October, she was the worst candidate in modern history. Also believes groups that flipped from the Dems to GOP would remain like that forever, like Latinos and young men
- Trump in 2016 saved the GOP, he appointed 3 SC seats. now MAGA rules the GOP.
- the ruling party int he White house gets blamed for the govt shutdown, almost always loses off-year and mid term elections. The Dems lost a Senate seat n Massachusetts in 2010. (that was Ted Kennedys old seat) i
- to win in 2024, Trump had to make promises to his donors and tech that went against MAGA,Trump-Vance were never going to restrict H1Bs substantially

Face it. The average American would rather watch shitty tick toc's than pay attention to politics. When it comes time to vote they really have no idea for who or what they are voting for/against.
It is what it is. I really don't think most people can honestly say their life has been worse in the past year.
