These people are pushing this false narrative while I’m watching a 9/11 documentary of heroes that gave their lives to save anyone regardless of race.

Are you talking about the one on Netflix? I stopped watching it during the 2nd episode when they began to glorify the black female politician from California who was the only one who voted against the proposed post-9/11 legislation.
The first episode highlighted the experiences of black Americans on that day. These were people just like most of us who were just going to work when something truly horrific happened and they did what they had to do. There was an obvious racial focus of the episode but it didn't bother me because these were people just like me who happened to be black.
I had to turn it off when they began to glorify that woman as the only person who stood against our country's reaction to that horrible event. Netflix sucks and should stay out of politics.
