Here is the economic driver for unpermitted migrant labor. Americans want labor that they can pay below market rates so they entice or directly import labor. Anyone who doesn’t acknowledge that the key to solving the undocumented migrant labor problem lies in controlling the Americans who benefit financially from the system is not dealing with reality.

This is why your border games won’t work. If you want to control or stop the uncontrolled movement of labor across the border, you must understand the reality (not the propaganda) that there are interests here who profit from the activity. Control employment here and the incentive to come dries up.
Migrant labor laws exist to protect labor here. Link the border policies to labor law here and we can make progress.

I grew up in La. and lived there 38 years before I had to move to Ms. I used to see 40 Mexicans come in every year to pick Bushs Sweet Potatoes for their canning factory nearby. They lived in an old wood house in the country, sleep 8 to a room on pallets for 6 weeks. How I know is, they are registered to vote on 3x5 cards and the Teachers Union leader gets them to the fall polls to vote democrat. I know I saw it and I talked to them. They get 2 Big Macs and Corona beer when they vote. I saw it twice back then. They were cheap labor just for 6 weeks though. Then they left.
