He's been fixated on this "liberaltarian" term the last month or so, which I haven't heard since 2006 when Brink Lindsey and Markos Moulitsas tried pushing it until everyone realized it was too goofy-sounding to take off

As Ali was a hero of my childhood, I've read multiple biographies. Ali was not a particularly wise human being. He was courageous though. He was extremely emotionally wounded by racism and he never completely surmounted it. Just like a lot of white racists of the same era who never got to be the person they could have been had they been born a couple of decades later.
