Yeah, I see most of the first term as having been carried out as a sting operation. The reason why more wasn't done before should be obvious. They weren't ready to bring a case that 1, would stick; or 2, would plunge the country into chaos and costing even more American lives.
For COVID, I would think that there is really not just too much you can do without running the risk of having China declare war on you. How were they to stop someone letting loose a bio weapon? It's not like it would be hard to do. We don't police Wuhan.
But yeah, it seems pretty damn clear by now that the first administration was ran like a giant sting operation. It's beyond obvious. The very things that people were exposing and well aware of during the first administration are beginning to play out exactly how those same people said they would.

Liberals- believe and protect all whistleblowers, especially when they come out against OMB. But, when they reveal our crimes, we tear them down.
