This is pure bullshite!

The current plan — backed by Senate Democrats and the White House — is a funding package comprised of five full-year bills, with a two-week stopgap for the Department of Homeland Security to buy time for further bipartisan negotiations to rein in US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. But Senate GOP leaders do not yet have an agreement among their own conference to bring that funding plan to the floor.
If the package does pass the Senate, it faces multiple obstacles in the House, where Speaker Mike Johnson and his team may need help from Democrats to pass the bill.
Schumer, asked if both parties can achieve a real compromise measure on federal immigration enforcement in just two weeks, said, “If the Republicans are cooperative, we can get it done.”

The minority leader earlier this week laid out his caucus’ demands for reshaping ICE tactics and protocol in any funding bill for DHS. They include: tightening the use of warrants, ending roving patrols, enforcing a code of conduct comparable to use-of-force policies for state and local law enforcement, and requiring ICE agents to remove their masks and wear body cameras.

Ice is funded through 2029, so what does this do?

tightening the use of warrants, ending roving patrols,
I know the ending roving patrols is a major push for the Dems and some GOP, but what would the tightening the use of warrants accomplish? Trying to limit what they can do/find with a warrant? If you are looking for person X, and happen to find person Y; you cannot arrest person Y?

Isn't this already in place? In considering both the Good & Peretti shootings, hasn't it already been established that giving the circumstances both shootings would have complied with the comparable use-of-force policies that local law enforcement has in place?

Does it matter specifically?
We already know who that group is regardless of how they voted this time.
Could be Thilis, could Cassidy or Murk or Collins… the result is always the same.
They just take turns voting for the stuff they all want but know is inconvenient for them to openly support from a reelection standpoint outside of Collins who is basically sitting in a blue seat anyway.

If there isn't specific verbiage in the Bill to force Dem Governors to work with ICE then Trump should Veto the Bill when it hits his desk
