It certainly wasn’t for Jamal Kashoggi, who was the state sanctioned propagandist for SA, you know the guys you all want regime change for.

The only reason they are pretending to care about this guy is Trump. Kashoggi’s death is an opportunity and nothing more. Every politician in Washington knows Trump can’t toss SA overboard because it would be felt around the globe. Not to mention the strategic importance of not giving Russia or China an opening to expand their influence in the region. So what you are seeing are bloviating politicians using it as an issue to hammer Trump not because they care but because it’s an issue where he has very little if any wiggle room. Think of it in terms of boxing and trapping your opponent in the corner.
