Saying people profit from war is a huge difference than claiming that some unseen fascist cabal is nefariously pulling strings behind the scene and somehow using the worlds citizens as puppets. Of course people profit from war and like has already been stated, profit is the excuse that motivates almost every action including war, drilling, agriculture, drugs, etc.

It's a fair point, many have real jobs, since they are doctors or engineers their opinions are not as valued as would be say they were "community organizers".
I think the relevant point is more along the lines that there are enough barbaric fundamentalist Muslims that live in a part of the world that is not really the concern of the USA, that we need to ask at what point did nation building in the mid east become our foreign policy. Especially since so many of our politicians are careful to say that is NOT our policy.

So you want a unified voice of Islam? Where would that come from? Does Christianity have a unified voice? Who would that be? The Pope?

I know this might make me a bad person in some people's eyes but I really don't care. I'm as laid back as they come and get along with pretty much everybody but I will always hold a grudge against Islam and what it stands for. If I know you on a personal level then so be it (I like the dude that works at my favorite service station, for real not stereotyping) BUT.... That religion as a whole can go frick ITSELF.
