Remember under Clinton when "lied" became "misled."
Somehow, "misled" just doesn't sound or seem as serious as "l-i-e-d."
But it didn't stop there.
After the Scandal of the Century we were regaled with "Steele was 'misled' by Russian disinformation regarding the dossier he thought was correct."
In that context it so mitigates images of Steele doing it out of spite and malice aforethought.
Then we had to hear it even from the Repub Lindsey and others that "the FISA court was "misled."
Yeah, the Roberts-appointed FISA court just innocently fell to slick, skillfully contrived deception by Comey and other klutzes within the agencies.
Somehow in the leftist spin, "misled" just doesn't seem as felonious as l-i-e-d.
But the Left has always prided itself in the word game they play.
But have to admit "mishandled" does seem so much more palatable than "fumbled, incompetence, and/or dereliction of duty."
