Except they're often not. The grooming gang scandal in the UK has case after case of stuff like this:

Women can be very stubborn and obstinate, so, sometimes the Strong Hand is needed, but, obviously, binding, torturing and drowning your own daughter is taking things just a bit too far.
MODERATE your reactions to obstinate women, my Islamic friends - moderate. Moderate your reactions. Binding, torturing and drowning is going too far. Next time moderate and perhaps stop after blackening an eye with a fist punch or two. But, I respect your culture and would never try to tell you what to do because I know that Diversity is Strength and that as an American, I have no culture whatsoever while Islam has a beautiful culture.
