Yes. He did that. Good job, but any republican would have done that. Hell, even the democrats effectively shut it down in May 2024 as they saw it as a losing issue. It's obtuse as blaming Biden for egg prices and crediting Trump for the price fall. It was a result of the vird flu epidemic in laying hens. When the egg laying population returned, prices plummeted. Neither president had shite to do with the price of eggs.

Yeah I don't know if "shut it down" applies, but you can see the huge decrease in 2024, prior to Trump
This reminds me of when MAGA sycophants cite Biden DOJ arrests in MN for fraud because the plea/sentencing occurred during the Trump admin.

He was vehemently in favor of Biden's student loan forgiveness plan. ...and once it was shot down by the USSC, he attempted to claim Biden still didn't attempt to enact it.
He's argued in favor of programs like universal health care for all.
He's openly argued in favor of illegal aliens adding more to the U.S. tax base than being an overall debit to the system ...
