Whole lotta crazy in this head.
Imagine having witnessed unimaginable things for two years, that no one in their lifetime thought they’d see, and still believing everyone else is crazy for seeing the next step in the evil scheme.

The Bolsheviks were fairly well off.
But they trusted that Karl's theories would appeal to the proletariat enough that they would provide the worldwide revolution.
But they showed their collective arse to the world by slaughtering the Czar and his beautiful family, and many others thereafter.
Only a few years later they realized their trust that there would be a proletariat revolution hadn't taken place, so they decided, reluctantly, to go from blood and iron to forcing their revolution psychologically by infiltrating and corrupting the critical institutions within the West, which they knew would take time and patience.
Enter Tavistock and the cabal running the Institute of Social Research.
The "originals" and the legions of acolytes their methods have produced over the years have shown what the patience and dedication of doctrinaire, hardcore ideologues can accomplish when they have at their disposal a philosophy/ideology that appeals to the basest in human nature.
So it naturally strikes a responsive chord with gratification-now, entitled types who want what others have but are not particularly interested in exercising the resourcefulness, delayed gratification, discipline, patience, perseverance, and work ethic those others did to acquire what they have.
