Their last couple mayors have been comedy gold.

If I remember right, Nashville offered Looney the job back before they hired that idiot Joseph. Looney initially accepted then backed out because he realized Williamson was a much better job.

He also used the leverage to get a nice pay raise.

It's a red county, but to say it's the most conservative in a conservative state isn't correct. Nearly every county in East TN is more conservative than Williamson County.

10 years ago, that assessment that Williamson is more conservative is closer to correct. Then all the Cali transplants came in with Nissan North America and diversified the voting pool a bit more.

Looney is overrated. He is getting far too much credit for a school system that was already at the top of the pack years before he came along.

I won't shed one tear if he leaves.

Looney stepped in it by pushing an extremist vantage of forced diversity training. He had to reverse course last month after being publically reprimanded. Complaints went all the way to Bill Lee in the governors office. He took the ATL job because of the writing on the wall.

Yeah he can take his diversity training and go punch kids and be an alcoholic elsewhere. My two boys are at Grassland Elementary, parental involvement is what drives our school, not Mike Looney’s policies.

Rs been stonewalling/shelving the Grassland High School project for years now and if he had his way Franklin High will have 5000 students by 2022. frick that. All the land is there, 37069 is the only zip code in Williamson County without a high school. That’s bullshite.

Public school problems. The government spoils everything it touches. This is why my kids go to private schools.

Wait so you're upset property values are rising?

Not OP, but yes us people who have lived in Nashville since before it was so hot are actually upset at the skyrocketing real estate prices. Wages haven't gone up accordingly. My wife and I are expecting another child later this year and we can't afford to buy a bigger house in Nashville in a decent neighborhood. Even moving 30-60 minutes out of town costs 3x what it would have cost 10 years ago in the city.
