Watching this hearing on SPLC and the democrats only response is that this is being done a 3rd time out of loyalty to Trump. Trump has appointed loyalists, blah blah blah.

quote:

Loyalty is a steadfast commitment and devotion to a person, cause, or ideal. At its core, it means choosing to stand by someone or something through both challenges and successes, remaining faithful even when it is difficult.

How have we reached this point to where loyalty is a bad thing?

It's a look squirrel situation.

Instead of addressing they paid the klan, they are saying "why you be askin' so many questions?"

Edwin Edwards famous quote when accused of putting his friends and cronies into positions in his administration.

"Of course I appoint my friends, who should I put in there? My enemies?"

Well same goes for Trump, wasn’t the biggest complaint of his first administration that he hired swampers because he didn’t have a feel of DC, and now that he hired his friends it’s a bad thing?

Again I cannot believe how politics has turned loyalty into a bad thing.

Being loyal to a family member, friend, mentor, employer, etc., who has invested in your growth and development is a good thing.

Being loyal to a politician is really, really weird.

Loyalty is fine; unconditional fealty not so much.

Generally speaking, loyalty is good and I wouldn’t fault people for appointing allies considering the alternative. But it can be abused (as everything can). “Just following orders” in WW2 for example. Being a mindless drone due to loyalty or fear is problematic.

It's only bad when it's Trump.

For people that politician hires for the sole purpose of carrying out HIS agenda?
