Because of the bomb Iran song-they want it Eron to be seen as a different place to bomb.
Just like Graham saying Isreel they are WEF freaks.
LOOK AT GRAHAM ON HANNITY CALLING ON ERON TO SAY THEY LOVE ISREEL.
Who died and made GRAHAM ensure they had to show face? GRAHAM needs to STFU.

When I was in middle school we had a brother and sister from Iraq who rode our bus. They pronounced it as “Eee-Rock”. This was 20+ years ago.
My guess is that people from the region pronounce it like that and people in ‘Murica pronounce it as Eye Ran.
The "i" in English is often pronounced as a long "e" by people across the world, or a version of the long "e". Mister is "meeeester", for example. It's fairly common across the world.
I don't think it's part of an international conspiracy to make people look dumb, but sometimes people need to feel insecure about things. If a different pronunciation of a name brings about that insecurity, seems a small price to pay to support their ego.

I’ve notice more media actors have been pronouncing it “Eron”…
Well...it is derived from the Middle Persian word Eran, which the oldest reference comes in the 3rd century describing King Ardashir in an inscription stating "ardašir šahan šah eran" or "king of kings of the Aryans".

When did Iran become Eron?
It looks like that would be sometime in the 200s (under the Sassanids), it was called "Eron" meaning "Land of Aryans". While we were saying it like it is spelled in English for years, ERON pronunciation is more accurate to what it was originally. So, non-English speakers would call it "ERON" and we would say "Eye-Ran" for decades (after the March 1935 change from Persia to Iran.
