Shut up douche. Don't pretend to be a hunting expert. ARs can be great for hunting.

I use a semi automatic to hunt doves, ducks, and geese. How pathetic am I?

ETA: and other upland birds as well.

Having a quick follow up shot if necessary is pathetic? Sounds like being prepared to humanely dispatch an animal in all situations if you ask me.

In your opinion. I have taken deer with every legal means on the books. They are all rewarding in their own way and depending on the terrain you are hunting in.

It is not for me or you to judge.

Slippery slope there.

Out of the 20 deadliest shootings since 1950 (including ties):

8 used only handguns

8 used only semi-auto rifles (mostly AR's)

7 used "multiple weapons" (some had semi-auto rifles, some didn't)

132 killed by handguns only

220 killed by assault rifles only

So, assault rifles are used about as often as handguns, but assault rifles seem to have a better kill rate (Vegas and Orlando mostly account for this).

Shooting is inefficient. Timothy McVeigh killed 168 in one event without firing a shot.

Well the common denominator in the most notorious ones have been AR style weapons. There is really no disputing it.
other than like Columbine, Virginia tech, the Dallas blm police shootings, etc..but you know, whatever

Also hunting with ar 15 ruins the sport

You mean because the .223 isn't a good round for killing deer consistently?

Yep. But it does take some expertise to build a bomb, and it's easier to get caught in the process (especially after McVeigh - the Feds monitor ammonium nitrate sales now).

But you're right, if someone really wants to do this, they will even if we repeal the 2nd. There's many ways to make bombs. And even without bombs, you can wreak havoc like they do in other countries with people running wild with knives.

But the ultimate problem is crazy people. Ban people.

How do you live with such unrealistic fear? This is too much tinfoil hat for me.

Have you seen the way the left has reacted to their opponent winning the election fair and square?

How they have reacted to their opponents voicing their opinions on social media and youtube and college campuses?

How they are attempting to use a preventable tragedy to take away a constitutional right?

It is a very realistic fear because it is in progress.

The Bath Township massacre in 1927 remains the worst mass murder in a school in US history.

It was arson, IIRC.

Columbine - Tec9 & Shotguns
Dallas - SKS

Parkland, Orlando, Sandy Hook, Vegas, Sunderland, Stoneman Douglas - All very recent AR patterned.

It’s just a semi-automatic rifle; no different than a semi-auto hunting rifle or pistol. It’s popular for the same reason a mechanic loves old muscle cars: easy to work on and customize. Those who enjoy shooting as a hobby tend to like AR-15s for that reason.

This right here is what the ‘ban’ side never understands.

It cannot be repeated enough.
