I am thinking it isn't going anywhere with JBE in office.

Plus the lawsuits and courts and backed up due to COVID.

Could be awhile.

You would think an election issue would get fast tracked. The people spoke, and we see three private individuals (now 2) bring it to a halt. This makes no sense.

Your politicians do not work for you. Elect those that will make this happen

I understand. The effort has been mainly grassroots.
The opposition has been mostly from politicians and their city hall allies who use government to further their business goals.

The people of CA spoke on gay marriage, and said no. And "somehow" the opposite was turned into national law.

Voting as being the voice of the people died a long time ago.

It seems that way.
We vote down things and they keep bringing them back up and they finally pass. That happened too often.

The Citizens voted and the measure passed. Ignore all the naysayers and go ahead and create the City government of St. George and ignore broom, mop, and smack smack.
