I am not sure you have made a correct point in this thread. Must be a troll.

Because my opinion doesn’t align with yours doesnt mean that I’m a troll. I’m just stating that I’m not going to vote republican just because I’m republican (like everyone else). I’m most likely going to sit this one out and not be responsible for the next 4 years.

What scares you about Rispone as the R candidate if you’re a Repub?

I don’t really care who does or doesn’t vote for him. I just think your strategy is odd, that is all.

+1. And the feeling is very different from last time when Vitter’s scandals proved too great to overcome.

This is a red state & it will return to one. JBE’s mud slinging on Rispone was WEAK, petty & very misleading.

Eddie Rispone with his own two hands and brain built an industrial designs company that clears $350 million in annual revenue and his net worth is well over tens of millions of dollars.

That’s not success an idiot can just luck his way into.

Meanwhile JBE has never run anything meaning besides his third rate shyster law firm suing truck drivers and fender benders. And JBE has shown us what a disaster he is as chief executive the last four years.

He doesn’t know how to run a government (like he doesn’t know how a government functions) and has zero clue on how to handle all of the other day to say issues that the governor has to deal with. Not just the big picture issues but the little things also.

And I’m not talking about his views on things because we agree on that stuff but I’m talking about the literal application of manipulating the branches of the government to implement his plans. I just don’t think he’s competent. He can run (or be the face of) a business but being in politics is a completely different beast and I just don’t think he can or really wants to handle it.

And how do you know this? What’s your source for that assumption?

You’re saying this about a dude who built a nationally recognized multi million dollar company and is worth tens of millions of dollars himself.

You don’t think he, like Trump, could catch on to the workings of the government and legislative machine? He obviously has made some good decisions regarding business and has surrounded himself with competent if not excellent people. With all due respect, if he didn’t want to do it why do you think he would run at his age..if not to help leave a better state for his family and ours?

Honestly, I think it’s an ego and attention thing :/

No I don’t think he is as smart and smooth as trump. The businessman comparison is nauseating. Do you people realize how many big successful companies there are and have been in Louisiana?

I hear your points but what did Edwards do from any business/leadership role before taking office? I respect your right to your opinion and I’m just trying to follow your logic.

Trump’s ego and desire for attention absolutely dwarfs what Rispone has. There is no comparison to be had about that.

Rispone is very private compared to Trump.

You’re confusing being in the public eye so much with competence, knowledge and skill.

Do you understand how hard it is to build a company that rakes in hundreds of millions of dollars a year?

That is not something stupid people do.

Well, that’s exactly what Eddie Rispone is. Complaining about that is like complaining the sky is blue or water is wet.

You’re trying to convince us water is dry.

The same ones that JBE is chasing out of Louisiana with his high taxes, red tape and lawsuits?

What has any democrat ever done in real business or in any outside leadership roles? Usually NOTHING.

Democrats spend their time learning about politics and try to implement theories without any real world experience, understanding or application. I am ALL FOR business leaders and outsiders coming into government...but not Rispone. Like I’ve said I just don’t think he really understands how to work a government.
