Yea sure. Capped interest loans, with no underwriting criteria, guaranteed by the government, are an excellent example of a "free market".

Time Magazine says
quote:

Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell called Biden’s loan forgiveness plan “student loan socialism” and said it was a “slap in the face to every family who sacrificed to save for college.” But when McConnell graduated from the University of Louisville in 1964, annual tuition cost $330 (or roughly $2,500 when adjusted for inflation); today, it costs more than $12,000, a 380% increase. When House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who called the policy a “debt transfer scam,” graduated from California State University, Bakersfield in 1989, tuition was less than $800; today, it’s more than $7,500, a 400% increase when adjusted for inflation

#HINT: has nothing to do with worthless degrees and lazy young people.

It has everything to do with
1. Universities/colleges exploding costs as a result of gubment-backed money.

2. To attract more $, universities have created all types of ridiculous degree programs which have a terrible ROI.

3. Many kids don’t really have a plan when they enter college and simply blow through resources with no real plan.

He literally is cheering on the market crushing students while ignoring the fact that the “market pressure” he pointed out was a good thing has don’t nothing to benefit the student.

I’m not the one bringing up market pressures.

I’m saying the government passed the buck funding public education and it hasn’t worked out.

frick off, liar. I said the market needs to punish shitty decisions, so if you disagree let us all know what your alternative is. The people pulling the dementia patient’s strings think rewarding shitty decisions is the right move. If that’s the camp you’re in, claim it.

If the government is hooking you up with $20k for a college education, they're getting fricking ripped off.

Meanwhile, Zelensky could not be reached for comment on when they expected Ukraine to repay the American taxpayers.

No wonder the GOP loses so much.

An uneducated country sounds like a great idea.

Sorry except for the rich and football players.

Public education is as American as it gets. Not everything has to be for profit.

I actually Didn’t take Texting without Typos 2001. Wasn’t required for my major.

I graduated Undergrad with 0 in student loans.

I graduated law school with about 100k in student loans and I have About 6k currently.

I am The poster child for parents who put their kids for school and people who’ve paid off loans.

This isn’t a good system.

What has the “market pressure” you said was a good thing done for students? Increased tuition across the board. You keep harping on shitty decisions but every options is worse than it was before student loans replaced actual funding of universities.

People act like only baristas with 250k in student loans care. It’s just not true. You’re ignoring reality and spitting out a talking point. Don’t talk about Biden’s string when the right’s hands up your arse moving your mouth.

Except you don’t quote him. You literally make shite up and claim he said it. Then when he responds pointing that out, you run away like the bitch you are and forget to reply back.

You can suck his duck

Speaking of this, have you registered on all of the auburn boards yet to white knight for for koy moore when he comes up with another lie you are stupid enough to fall for?

and never make your own point.

I’ve made my own points countless times now in response to you, and not once have you proven capable of responding. You are not intelligent enough to be worth engaging in any kind of actual discussion with, so instead I’ll just continue pointing out how incredibly diving stupid you are every time you choose to flaunt it.

Because you’re a fricking moron.

Tell us again how you support critical race theory.

Tell us again how a black kid in Los angles and a black kid in Miami learn the and because they are black.

Tell us again how the state Supreme Court didn’t agree the judge that legislated from the bench in upholding the governors emergency powers fricked up in their ruling on that case.

Especially relevant to this thread, tell us again how anyone that’s ever gone to public school is a beneficiary of public programs just the same as people on welfare, food stamps, etc.

OP does not understand the basic concept of loans. Prices for things such as autos have also increased. Should there also be a gov sponsored program to pay back auto loans? All this stunt with college loans is is a thinly veiled ploy to buy votes with taxpayer dollars. And I am hoping this stunt wakes eople up.

If education is a positive outcome, people will pay for it. If I told you: You give me $20 and I will give you $100 back... would you only do it if the government gave you the $20?

The idea that education is only possible if it's provided by the government is silly.
