Maybe acknowledging russia attacked our election process and not having this photo op at all would have been better than the cowering he did.

Can you see Reagan kissing that arse?

We’ve been playing this game with Russian for 70+ years. There is no reason to go to war over this. We have been fricking with each other since the end of WW II. Until Russia openly attacks the US directly with lethal force, there is no reason to be overly hostile. We’ve had big road bumps, but I think overall we are making progress towards a friendly relationship.

You sound like a f'k parrot, just like CNN/MSM wants you to. Please explain this "attacked our election process", you can't b/c it didn't happen.

Even if they did, I’m sure we’ve done it too.

Please specifically define “attacked our election process”. Don’t use phrases like “meddle in the election” or “interfere in our democracy” either, unless you are equally willing to define those platitudes.

Honestly I would consider it a success if you could succinctly define what “our election process” even is.

But you,trump and putin....hmmmm

Nevermind,you're too far gone.

Maybe they did interfere, some say they did and some didn't.

But lets just assume they did. Now is the best course of action for Trump to embarrass Putin on stage?

That would be an extremely ignorant and short sighted decision. Putin would he forced to retaliate in some sort of way to save face and would cost us in the long run.

The wise decision is to put on a nice face for the press, like he did with Kim Jong Un, and handle business behind closed doors.

I don't know how old you are, but I will assume you're younger and haven't had much experience in business and negotiations.

The worst thing you can do is make decisions based on emotion.

From a Facebook Post by Elbert Guillory, LA State Senator (not sure if he’s still in office) from SWLA

My advisors have recommended that I not write about this controversy but I owe you. I write as a military veteran and political scientist who has traveled to Ukraine, the Middle East, Helsinki, USSR to study up close.

Fact 1. The world's two greatest nuclear powers should be friendly. That is in the interest of the world!

Fact 2. Tonight the greatest criticisms come from two major groups:
A. Those who hate Trump and who will criticize the President for anything he does.

B. Those few in the military and intelligence communities who are wholly bought and owned by the war industries, for it is in their financial interests to have the US and Russia armed to the teeth and at each other's throats.

As you listen to the shrill screamers, note how often they come from this corner (politicians included)!

Fact 3. The absolute truth is that the Obama administration interfered in the Ukraine elections which led to Russia's predictable takeover of the area which holds Russia's major naval base and sea outlet.

Fact 4. The Obama administration interfered in the election of Israel. Strong Nations do this when they feel that it is their interests to do so.

Fact 5. The alleged Russian interference occurred during the Obama administration, and we heard not a peep. Now these jerks want Trump to punch Putin in the nose and start a nuclear war with the other major nuclear force on Earth.

I'm a patriot and a believer in a powerful America. I have also witnessed the body bags filled with the fruit of American youth when fat old saber rattlers play soldier.

Trump was masterful in Helsinki. The Swamp Donkeys may scream but tonight the world is better off that these two men shook hands!

I ask questions one and two almost every time he meets with a foreign leader and acts like a bull dog. I wonder why he walks on egg shells around Putin, but no one else in the world.

Which meetings are you referring to?

You do realize every situation is different and calls for a different action
