I’m not scared. I’m concerned for my parents and residents where I work but I’m not scared to go out.

I’m scared for my family if I stay in.

My husband? Much more concerned/cautious than I am.

Idk but I’m about to carry myself to Lowe’s and get what I want to get some things done. Chastise me all you want but damn.

Aint been to Lowes but have been to HD a bunch....restoring my duck boat to its former glory...and HD is BOOMING....every swinging dick in my area is painting something LOL....to be honest I aint seeing a lot of difference in people being out and about with the exception of restaurants....Walmart is booming, drug stores are packed, the difference is people not commuting to work and probably not being nearly as productive sitting at the house in their boxers as they would be in the office or on the job site. The real problem is going to start in the next few days when folks run out of cash and aren't working and haven't gotten an unemployment check yet....most Americans would have to use a credit card to pay for a $400 emergency....credit card debt is going to SKYROCKET even as high as it was before....I'd bet most of that paint is being paid for on the tick....

I’m way less productive working here at home. Part time but I can do it as I want to so that’s good.

OP, this is smoking gun #2.

1st was the CDC's, ILI. Influenze Like Illness chart showing this has been around for months and there are no mass graves.

This is the biggest world wide hoax ever.

Thank you Sweeden!!

It would go down as the stupidest decision in the history of this Country. The better job we do now self distancing the sooner this will be over. The same people saying they are going to ignore the guidance are the same people that will be crying when we don’t have football.

According to the Swedish Institute of Public Health’s daily briefing of March 30, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the country has passed 4,000. The number is very similar to the infection rate in Norway, yet twice as many people live in Sweden.

However, Akinmade Åkerström says there’s a simple reason for the relatively low infection numbers: “Very few people are being tested so it’s impossible to know the true spread of the illness.”

While the infection numbers are difficult to compare, the difference in death rate is more clear-cut. At the time of writing, 146 people with COVID-19 have died in Sweden. In Norway, that number stands at 32.

So if Norway's population was double it would be 64 deaths compared to 146

What a joke.

There are only 160 million people in the workforce not 300+ million

Okay, lets continue the game.

Lets say 320mil in the U.S.. Is that good for you?

So by that count, 160mil work'n 160mil not.

30% of 160mil rounded down to 50mil. Good for you?

So by your numbers, that gives the U.S. roughly 210mil OUT OF THE WORK FORCE. That good for you?

210 million out of work.

100K - 200K dead.

Your math is a little exaggerated.

Bet you wish you'd appriciated my OG post now.

Mass refusal to step outside. This whole thing has conditioned many people basically fear their own shadow.

Well Sweden is averaging 18 deaths per million people and we're averaging 10 per million. That should tell you something.

If we went up to the same rate (18 per million) that would be about an additional 2600 deaths. I don't know that what all we've done is near worth it for saving 2600 deaths.

What this crisis will do is prepare the American Citizen for the death panels coming with socialized medicine.

After this economic collapse, most people will end up with the mindset that the cost wasn't worth the old that died.
