Still trying to find out the attachment to this guy.
You want to say his position on National issues don’t matter as they are not local. Cool.
What economic policies of JBE’s first term and the upcoming term were you or are most excited for?
Trying to remember what the big accomplishment the last four years was that has garnered such high praise by 220,000 Ardoin voters who pushed the button for 4 more years.

let me help you
1) nobody gives a blue shite about who the secretary of state is. i couldnt pick ardoin out of a lineup, and i couldnt begin to tell you what his plans are for office
2) he was the incumbent...when people (me) dont know or dont care, they vote for the guy/gal already in office
you're welcome

Ahhh some honesty.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Louisiana electorate.
Perhaps poll tests do need to be implemented again.

tell me what your hot-button secy of state issues were. are you unhappy with ardoin?
you are beating this straw-man to death.
there is no correlation between R voters choosing edwards and ardoin
there are no "ardoin voters"

Not Jindal is all he said. He certainly couldn't have ran on his record.

I pulled the lever for Rispone, but had reservations due to his complete lack of a plan and having a hangover from the Jindal years. What drove me away from Edwards was lack of commitment to reverse the sales tax increase once the budget was balanced, and additionally the lunacy that is now the national Democratic Party.
Here's what he did that I like. If he had an R by his name I would have voted Edwards.
-Balanced Budget doing what was unpopular but necessary (tax raise). I'm conservative and wish to cut the fat as well, but not at the expense of state credit rating, or backing the selloff of taxpayer assets to cover deficiencies. We must shrink the state gov't, but a constitutional convention is the only way. Had Rispone had a more detailed plan to do this, he would have likely won.
-Legislation passed and signed to shorten sentences for nonviolent offenders. (taxpayer savings)
-Pay raise for teachers. Long overdue although not enough. In current fiscal conditions it is easy to understand why.
-Signed two pro-life bills including the widely popular conservative "fetal heartbeat" bill.
-Cutting the LA uninsured rate in half with the Medicaid expansion, which insures 500k Louisiana residents at this time. I'll admit there are abuses happening that I want to eliminate, and the JBE team is working to do that. But Louisiana is only footing the bill for 10% of the cost at maximum, and it is overall helping our economy and population. Political ideology aside, this is a win for Louisiana. The abuse must be curtailed however.
edited to add that I'm more of a Populist, instead of conservative. I zig-zag in and out of both sides of the aisle on different issues.

Ardoin ran against a black lady. There are a lot of white Dims who'll vote for a white Dim like JBE but never for a black Dim.
