So, if a Candidate for POTUS is found to be grossly negligent in the most serious of National Security scenarios...that isn't something that should be presented to the Electorate?
All I'm saying is that I don't think he was part of some corrupt conspiracy, like McCarthy is arguing without any real evidence to support it.
So his intention doesn't excuse incompetence, but I also don't think it's fair to make it seem more nefarious than that.
Besides, I think when it involves the other side of the politcal debate, everybody is too quick to ignore Occam's Razor, and especially Hanlon's Razor:

We’re still playing basketball, weirdly enough.
And the job is pretty distracting from posting.
And the whole Trump versus liberals is boring to me (yet amusing).
But I’m good. Thanks.

Why are Comey's "memos" classified?

Coincidentally, that seems apropos to his post as well.

I think the only reason Trump got burned badly is because he couldn't resist admitting that he wanted Comey fired because of the investigation. If Rosenstein's official reason stayed as the official reason, then Mueller would never have been appointed and the investigation wouldn't have much to do with Trump at all, besides being affiliated with those who were under investigation
Yeah I have no problem admitting and supporting the notion that Trump completely botched the Comey firing as that was a complete clown show of a debacle.
And that happened by meeting the russians the next day, revealing sensitive intel to them, saying that after firing comey the pressure was off of him, and then sit down for an interview with NBC saying that he fired Comey because of Russia and completely contradict his own staff and AG saying that it was because of how he handled the Hillary investigation and threaten Comey with tapes.
Not excusing Rosenstein here but It's no wonder he cucked out and appointed Mueller. The way Trump handled firing Comey was a stunningly and embarrassingly bad case of political, legal and professional malpractice.
When you fire someone, you do it as nicely and quietly as possible and stay on message as much as you can.
I think that whole episode scared Trump straight as he hasn't sat down for an interview with a network that's not Fox and he has consistently avoided contact with the Russians outside of normal diplomatic meetings.

Instead he acted like he was under investigation, and as a result, brought part of the investigation onto himself
That should have had no bearing at all on Rosenstein's decision to appoint a special counsel short of a provable, actionable and confirmable crime that implicated the Trump campaign/administration.
Instead, he appointed the special counsel after a public hysteria and Trump making the Comey firing a clown show.
Everything we've seen so far could've and should've been handled by normal FBI and DOJ units.

It should be noted that the primary reason Trump is briefed on the dossier is to leak the dossier to the public.
On January 6, 2017?
That horse was already out of the barn and all the way across the pasture by then.
You think Comey leaked the dossier?

When did Buzzfeed leak the dossier?

January 10. But that's not the point. Several media outlets had the dossier before Buzzfeed and had decided not to publish it.
McCain had a copy of it by November. Lots of people had seen it before it was leaked. Any one of them could have been the original source of the leak to Buzzfeed

You’re making my point. The briefing of the President was designed to give it legitimacy so as to make the leaking more weighty. “We can now tell you what was in the dossier which the President has now been briefed upon.”
Just “President-elect is into pee and stuff” isn’t enough.

They may be it, but I don't think so.
Buzzfeed went out on their own and published it. And they got jumped on big time from both sides when they did it.
