re: What are your reasons for believing climate change is "a hoax"

quote:Awwww. A single-variable climate model. You’re so cute.
If you could show that, for example, radiative forcing of CO2 and other greenhouse gases emitted by humans was not a driver of climate, then problem solved. No global warming.

That's why the opposite is shown

and you believe in a conspiracy theory.

Yeah
But it beats "I can count"

Post any evidence that CO2 is bad for plants. Its retarded

quote:Its actually more insidious. People think it’s “scientific”. It’s about as scientific as saying that since aspirin cures headaches, it’s a good cure for a brain tumor.
But it beats "I can count"

Oh. I get that he tries to play the Spidey, "let me show I'm smart" game when you know he's just cutting and pasting from climate sites or simply hoping to ward off non-scientific people from responding.
But, I can work with that in terms of rebuttal.
"Muh, more people" isn't even an argument.

No, you can't. You can hardly make a rational point.
I don't really care enough about your position to actually read your posts, I just think shite you says is inadvertently funny a lot of the time.

Awwww. A single-variable climate model.
Go ahead and show us your multi-variable model that shows humans aren't a source of warming.
Because there are models that say you're full of shite...

What theory is that exactly
That global warming is some global scientific hoax.

So you admit you approached from ignorance. Thanks.

Exceptional rebuttal
Longer rebuttal:
If you think that funding for a study that would have a null hypothesis that the earth isn't warming from anthropogenic causes (or isn't warming in an aberrant way compared to historical trends) would only be funded by fossil fuel companies - and that was the premise of your 'point', let's not forget - then you lack basic comprehension around research funding and grant proposal processes as to render your opinion on the subject meaningless.
tl;dr That's not how this works

This is wild - so, force the other side to prove a negative or accept their blatantly religious belief system?
Okay, I can play:
Show us your multi-variable model that proves there is no God and that Jesus Christ didn't make Peter the leader of the church or start going to communion, baw. (Or guh - or however you choose to self-identify.)

100% of Christians believe that Jesus was the divine son of a deity, and that eternal damnation awaits those whose sins are grievous enough
The difference is that Christians have no empirical, rigorous data to back up their beliefs. They're just taking it on faith.
Climate scientists do have such data. They don't need to take it on faith, they can run the numbers.

Go ahead and show us your multi-variable model that shows humans aren't a source of warming.

quote:Gotcha. I think if it in Dunning -Krueger terms. They actually think they are more correct (science by proxy!!) than the intelligence by proxy crowd. So they dig in even harder.

If you're going to discount something that's been proven to be true in the opposite sense, then yes. You'll need data.
quote:
Show us your multi-variable model that proves there is no God and that Jesus Christ didn't make Peter the leader of the church
And there's your main problem - you don't understand the difference between science and religion. Maybe some day you will, and you'll be better for it. But today is obviously not that day.
