Well it's disproportionate to cis people in similar situations. And discrimination against trans people doesn't end with violence, there's also employment discrimination, non-violent harassment etc.

I agree that we shouldn't jump to conclusions when certain things are reported we should wait for confirmation and critically analyze all media reports. But I don't think that leftists do this more than people of any other political persuasion
