Guys... we gotta pedal bicycles to work, set our air conditioners to 98 degrees, and take the bus on vacation so these brave souls won't have to give up their large homes and private chartered flights.

I'm sorry there Lindsey Limp, but when you high and mighty folks downsize to a 500sq ft condo and ride a glorified golf cart to your destinations.. I'll consider you folks a little bit serious.

The real dangerous trend is participating in a sport that you fly down a mountain on two sticks at breakneck speed and break your legs multiple times in multiple Olympics.

We cannot change the changing climate any more than we can the progression of AI. Though big time nuclear war could cool things down pretty quick.

It's the massive populations that are negatively polluting, stressing resources and affecting the Earth's environment that is more problematic. The likelihood that said populations are going to fight the usual wars for religious, ideological/personal affluence belief and survival is more of an existential danger than the Earth's warming.

Earth will recover in the long run, which is irrelevant to the Earth. It don't care. Time is not an issue. Humanity may come and go.

Fun fact: Nothing can be done about any of this.

This is true. We arent going to windmill and Tesla our way out of it. There is simply nothing on the horizon more energy dense that fossil fuels. Its unfortunate this topic has become such a political one. If current trends follow we will see some impacts from climate change over the next century that will effect some coast lines, weather pattern changes, seasonal food production, etc.. the second and third order effects from these impacts should be studied.
It wont be the end of the world...far from it , but it will impact certain regions around the world. Whether the changes we are witnessing are man made, natural or both the only thing we can do is try to mitigate and prepare.
