You would vote to violate the 1st amendment in order to protect the country from my religion? Isn’t that what you were protesting against when others like myself wanted to vote to ban Islam to protect this country?
Bold move, Cotton.
I'm not wanting to change the constitution, you are.

You accept the world as it is presented to you.
While I agree with the statement, it doesn’t answer the question.

Because you caught you.
That doesn’t answer the question either.

Because you know.
Again, that doesn’t answer the question.
quote:
Your effect on other people.
An effect is the result of the action (or inaction). It informs us - it does not determine the morality of the action.
quote:
If you want to go deeper then it's a matter of what you really are. It's really the transition that people fear.
I’d love to.
quote:
I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Are you asking where free will comes from? Not sure what self-made means either. Would you like me to explain the father-son relationship?
I assumed you were an atheist. I apologize. You’re clearly a heretic!
quote:
Knowledge of things beyond our perception is understanding
Kamala? Is that you?
quote:
The best way I know to explain it is with math. Where you have the actual understanding of math itself, and then the expression of it. The understanding is universal and the expression is unique to the culture.
quote:
But some other culture can express the same thing just with other symbols, stories or whatever
Are you saying that God is the thing to be understood, and that Christianity and Islam are but two of many ways to express that understanding?
quote:
And that's where things go wrong. Like when people claim only Jesus and so forth
Jesus claims that. His words- not mine. I’m just spreading that word. Your problem is with Jesus, not me.
quote:
Jesus is an expression, like the 1+1=2. It's a true thing, but it's not the only true expression. When Jesus talks about "only through him" he's talking about the things he represents.
quote:
I was taught to never focus on the symbols, focus on the understanding behind them. Never once was the name Jesus ever mentioned to me, no names at all. The name "Holy spirit" was never once mentioned to me. However, I do see the understanding behind it. I did in fact meet what you would call the "Holy Spirit", and that was followed by the sudden gaining of understanding I speak of.
Do you have any support for this besides your “visions?”
quote:
So these claims of blood salvation, sacrifice and so forth are ridiculous to me.
Now this I believe. You’ve got a decent troll going (6/10), but that came straight from your heart.
In Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, he wrote: “ But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.”
Checks out.
quote:
Would you like to know how forgiveness really works?
You have to follow the way.
False. You have to accept it. Forgiveness is received- not earned. You’re not “saved” by anything you do/done/doing/will do/thought about doing. You’re saved by accepting forgiveness.
quote:
It's not like I just outright reject scripture, I reject things that distort and misled people.
Your entire post is a rejection of scripture.
People mislead people (and themselves)- not scripture. Blaming scripture is like blaming guns for murder.

I mentioned people upholding the constitution. You claim to be a man of God and you do nothing but lie over and over.

It was on this forum and the guy is still arguing about it. I did make a mistake, he wanted to add it to the preamble of the constitution, and he also wanted to ban other religions. Both of which go against the 1st amendment.
So try again.

You have said more than once now that people like me are wrong for wanting to change the Constitution because it is the Constitution alone that keeps Muslims and any other religious group from taking over and violating others' religious beliefs. You want to keep and uphold the Constitution, as even your reference to the military oath indicates. However, you also said you would vote to ban my religion. That seems to me to be a violation of the Constitution and an action that you've already condemned in me and others. That stinks of hypocrisy.
Tell me where anything I've just said is a lie or unclear.

I said if you change the constitution to ban religions and start declaring shite about Jesus in it, I will vote to ban Christianity.
In the meantime, I will defend the constitution and the 1st amendment against all enemies, foreign and domestic and that includes people like you.

What I've talked about is desires to change the Constitution (which isn't an attack on it), and to make all efforts to ban Islam as a terrorist ideology rather than as a religion. I would support any and all legal (i.e., constitutional) means of accomplishing that.
I think you're being dramatic to label me (and people like me) an "enemy".

Changing the preamble, which declares the purpose of all the text below it, to declare Jesus is Lord in line with your Pauline Doctrine is a direct violation of the 1st amendment. How can we even have a 1st amendment when you want to violate it in the preamble?
That is an attack on the constitution.
Further you wish to ban other religions, another violation of the 1st amendment.
These are all attacks on the constitution.
What I said was actually part the oath people in the military take. When you join the military, you don't take an oath to government, you take an oath to defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foriegn and domestic.
Domestic is generally fought with the pen, but the 2nd amendment exists for when the 1st is taken away (aka the pen is no longer allowed).

Gods choice. It's also where you get free will.

It does answer the question. If things were presented to you as if they didn't matter, then that is what you would feel as well.

It does answer the question. You are a conscious being, your soul is from God, you are aware of what you did.

Again, it does. You are aware that you did the good deed. Are you trying to ask me what makes a good deed?
quote:

Morality comes from being able to put yourself on the other side and basing it on how you would like to be treated if the roles were reversed.
When you commit a sin "against God" it's because that person has a soul, aka a piece of God, within them.
quote:
That won’t be necessary.
I assumed you were an atheist. I apologize. You’re clearly a heretic!
Typical.

Proverbs 9:10 if you want your bible to confirm it.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
quote:
Are you saying that God is the thing to be understood, and that Christianity and Islam are but two of many ways to express that understanding?
God gives understanding. How that understanding is expressed can vary from culture to culture.
Christianity is the religion of Paul, and it is a satanic religion. Islam probably got hijacked too.
quote:
Jesus claims that. His words- not mine. I’m just spreading that word. Your problem is with Jesus, not me.
No he doesn't. He tells you that only by following the truth, the way and the light can you find God. He tells you that you need to become like children(agnostic). Jesus says if you believe in him he you will keep the commandments.
Paul tells you that you just need to claim Jesus is Lord and believe he was raised from the dead.
quote:
Do you have any support for this besides your “visions?”
What do you think Jesus means when he says let those with ears hear? He's talking about those who can understand.
quote:
False. You have to accept it. Forgiveness is received- not earned. You’re not “saved” by anything you do/done/doing/will do/thought about doing. You’re saved by accepting forgiveness.
You have to ask for forgiveness instead of a blind eye.
As always, Christian's hate being told they have to actually keep the commandments.

That is an attack on the constitution.
Changing the preamble is not an attack on the 1st amendment, either. It would clarify the context by which the 1st amendment could/should be interpreted. Perhaps you like the way modern jurists have interpreted it, so a change would be an attack on your interpretation, but that's not the same as attacking the Constitution.

I think you are a naïve person, and don't understand the things you are saying, or the implications of what you are saying. It seems like a problem with logic and critical thinking, but it could just be blindness. I don't know, but I'm struggling to take you seriously the more we interact.
