But, to respond to your OP
I agree that terms limits are necessarry, here's my idea, which I think I've brought up here previously
-Term limits for ALL federally elected persons: 12 years (yes, Reps, Senators AND Presidents)
-Hard cap of 25 years on ALL Federal positions, whether that be APPOINTED or hired off the street. This goes from secretaries, accountants, analysts, janitors, agents AND judges. Full retirement packages should be 'meh' and not a license to sit on your arse.
Working in & for the Federal Government should NOT be some 40 year cush job that you cant get fired from with some killer retirement package. It should be heralded as a key jumping off point in your life to further your career

1) Cap the court to 9 Supreme Court Justices
2) Term limits of Supreme Court Justices to 18 years

Cap the court yes, term limit on congress is more important than scotus.
Not anymore. That should be the 30th Amendment to the Constitution. I think getting this passed is more feasible than a bunch of corrupt assholes voting their own jobs out, which is to say I put it at less than 10%.

Justices are whatever give me term limits for Congress pleasse

I think it’s fair that Justices can serve for a generation, but not beyond that.

You’re not seeing the writing on the wall. Within the year if Biden wins and the Republicans lose the Senate, we could have 13 justices and they will be chosen by Kamala Harris. That is a much bigger pressing threat than Congressional term limits, because even if it’s passed tomorrow, it won’t solve this crisis that will destroy this country singlehandedly.

Yeah, but they’re unarmed at this point. This is the gun they will use to do it.

to clarify my point, it would be cumulative
so, in my scenario, if you did 4 years on the district court, 10 years on the circuit court, if you were appointed to the SCOTUS, you'd have to step down in 11 years

You don't need an amendment to fix the court if the senate isn't a corrupt piece of shite. They can reduce or expand the justices to offset as needed or even get an amendment together.
The judiciary may be a problem at some point but the legislature has been non functioning for a decade or more.

How are you going to get them all out in time and also make sure corrupt pieces of shite that answer to them don’t come in? Or even worse, what if the Democrats are all replaced by a bunch of AOCs and Ilhan Omars? No, this is the more pressing issue than our Congressional representatives. This is the elephant in the room.

Justices having an unlimited term was the biggest frick up by our founding fathers
Average life expectancy in 1789 was about 34 years for white males. Obviously, among the rich it would get to the upper 40s.
Still, not a long time compared to now.

That’s got very bad potential if we end up with Democrat president for 8 years and appoints 7 left wing activist judges

Funny you don't have any concern for murdering fetuses. You can make all the amendments you want, but abortion guarantees you can say goodbye to this country. The country could repent and delay judgement, but there is absolutely no way this country escapes judgement for all the innocent blood.

You don’t know my opinion on abortion.

that is a very good point
My only counter to that would be that the 12 year limit on elected officials would also be cummulative as well. Reps are still 2 years, Senators 6, and Presidents 4. I think 2 term presidents would be quite infrequent and 3 term presidents a complete anomaly. It would keep Congress on its feet, with fresh bodies cycling thru every 10 years. If you wanted to make a name for yourself via Congress, it'd be gas to actually pass some meaningful legislation instead of sitting on your hands, like Obama, Sanders, Fienstein, Schumer, and what I'm certain are dozens of other swampy RINOs that dont do shite.

Yeah, I’m with Tiger Prawn at this point. Let Supreme Court Justices serve for a generation.

Our Founding Fathers saw our life expectancies expanding coming, but what they didn’t see coming is a party weaponizing the courts against another party or the populace in general. They thought that the judiciary was by far the least terrifying of the three branches and thought they’d just read the constitution as they had intended. There is a good chance the Left will have justices read the 2nd Amendment as the militia will only have the right to have firearms when it was obvious in their own time they wanted a well armed people. Then there’s the 1st Amendment in seeing the separation of churc and state and then interpreting some forms of speech as violence or implicit threats if you don’t agree with what they are saying. They should have seen this coming.
