As you should and I have no doubt. But doubling the exemption surely means something to you.

Me personally? Not really. I'm all for fricking over the federal government, but it wouldn't make a difference to me.

You liked his tax cuts but his spending, which caused inflation, is a wealth destroyer.

Clearly you aren’t familiar with how I vote. And that’s ok.

I'm going off what you advocate. You advocate for a candidate that runs as a Lefitst on Social Security and Medicare. The current pace of spending, in tandem with slowing long term growth, means that our only ways out are austerity measures or higher taxes.

And I think you and I both know which one will happen.

Agree to disagree. Higher taxes does not equal higher receipts.

I hate trumps spending. But the inflation that comes with it does not equal the savings received from the tax cuts. It’s a math game to me. I have not been shy about saying that.

I also am not against cutting the contract the govt made with workers when they required them to “invest” in SS. Of all of govt spending, I think that is the one place they shouldn’t cut. Literally everything else should be cut.

Get out of here with the overly simplistic yet somehow pedantic Laffer curve talk in here mate. Of course payroll taxes will go up, at a minimum. That's a given.

And also, the reforms proposed by actual conservatives on this issue don't deal with cutting payments to current or imminent recipients.

I never mentioned the laffer curve. All you have to do is look at receipts as a percentage of GDP to understand that higher tax rates don’t necessarily mean higher receipts.

So just people paying in now?

Nah, I just like less government.

Right now, he affords us the best shot at that.

Frankly...I could give a shite about the guy.

This. Who is the “I’ll tax you less and leave you alone candidate?” That’s my guy.
