You're late with this. It's been shown that the reporter has set up meetings in the last between the Black Congressional Congress and Hillary. Trump was alluding to that.

That's not why President Trump asked her to help set up a meeting with the CBC. He even asked her if she knew any of the members of the CBC.
If was obvious from the snarky tone of her voice when she asked President Trump that question what she was trying to do.

It was probably a gotcha question because she knew the CBC had sent a letter to Trump a month ago requesting a meeting that had gone unanswered.

I doubt it.
President Trump probably sent a message to the CBC inviting them to meet with him and they either didn't respond to it or told him they won't meet with him because they don't want to have anything to do with a "racist".
