Our church is in the disaffiliation process. A lot of north Louisiana churches have or in the process of disaffiliating.

I grew up in the Methodist church and my youth leader had to spend nights in jail because he was convicted of embezzlement.

They used the money of the church to fight the conservatives. One whole conference in Texas tried to leave together and the "judicial council" met and said it was illegal yet the general conference could not meet to finalize the way forward or whatever they called it for churches to get out because of COVID.
