I will never make the mistake of voting early again. I have always voted on election day w/ no wait. Yesterday I decide to vote early for once. Hour long wait in light rain.
My best guess is that on election day they have many more voting booths up. Usually about 20 or 30. Yesterday I only saw a few.

My father has never voted a day in his life, and today he voted republican, in Georgia.

I'd feel better if you'd hold your nose, vote Kemp, and demand better in the future. They're going full Black Jesus for their campaigning. Never underestimate the enthusiasm of folks who think they're going to get free shite.

You do know she is for illegal immigration. I didn't say it, she said it at one of her speeches. If you are ok w/ cartels & illegals bringing in more human traffickers for little girls which is a big problem in Ga, fentanyl & other drugs, diseases, access to freebies like benefits, healthcare, education then go ahead & not vote for Kemp. At least we know he is against those things. LINK

Ga needs to get away from these religious / southern conservatives types in futures elections. Brian Kemp was a bad candidate for current day GA, even though I’m guessing he will still win.
I agree he's a shitty candidate.

It's because you're funneling everyone into a handful of voting locations while on election day you'll have many, many more (all the normal precincts). I can walk to my normal precinct from my house, but the closest early voting location is several miles.

You are correct. It did funnel people from all over. It was a good bit further too than my precinct.

We've had good luck w/ Saturday morning early voting. More like 15 minutes.
Posted on 11/2/18 at 2:27 pm to Pettifogger
With today being the last day for early voting, I think the crowds will be worse than they have been on the weekdays; probably more on par with the Saturday crowds.
We went to the closest early voting location here in north Gwinnett last Friday, got there just before 5, and there were less than 10 people in front of us. We were in and out pretty quickly.

First and last days - you're right.
First day lines sparked several "OMG how can we live in a country where it takes 3 hours to vote OMG" blogs/articles. So ridiculous.

Deal has been a great governor and led Georgia to pretty much peak prosperity, all while doing sensible shite like reforming the justice system.
Posted on 11/2/18 at 3:56 pm to Pettifogger
Deal is also a pragmatist who rarely does anything controversial. At the state and local level that’s what you need. You need someone to get shite done while not letting your political ideaology blind you. That’s why Deal has been a great governor.
