Just saw breaking news. Investigation underway for voter fraud. When asked by the reporter "how can this happen?" the official responded "we don't require voter IDs. Anyone can walk in, provide a name and cast a ballet." Apparently people are walking in multiple times, claiming to be different people each time and casting multiple ballets.

Requiring an ID to vote is racist.

Voter fraud is not a problem, per Decatur...

They don't have voter rolls? If not that's crazy.

EDIT: Do you have a link?

LoL how pissed would you be if you walked in to vote and the polling official goes to cross off your name and then informs you "sorry you already voted occording to this."

They have voter rolls but anyone can walk in and claim they are so and so. When the real person comes in to cast their ballet, they are finding that their names have already been crossed off.

I'm watching a live feed of Sky news. No Linky.

Colin Edgar from Glasgow City Council told Sky's Kay Burley there was evidence of at least 10 possible incidents of electoral fraud in the city.

The allegations appear to centre on attempts at personation at some polling stations.

He said: "We've had a number of suggestions over the course of the day that people have turned up at the polling station to vote and they appear to have voted already.

The crazy thing to me is that they number ballots so they can identify how a person votes.

In the US we have such low voter turnout stuff like this may go virtually unnoticed or dismissed, but voter turnout over there is close to %85.

One other thing I remember about the U.K. is that you don't have to carry your driver's license with you when you drive over there.

EDIT: If there were instances of people's names already being crossed off when they went to vote, there would be chaos in this country. My guess is that it's very rare for someone to try this crap over here.

Well, hell, I see the problem. It's an election and the only thing some people want to do is dance! Eff that!

This is how the dems have been winning. They will tell you the polls are favoring the dems so when they win no one will question the outcome.

How do we know it's rare where the very people who are supposed to be monitoring the polling places are the ones who encourage the fraud?

With some precincts that have barely %30 turnout, you have a %70 chance of committing fraud and none would be the wiser. If you were smart, you could target people in certain demographics and greatly increase those odds (trolling obits would allow you to cast potentially hundreds of votes per station) . Whatever fraud is exposed would be minimal and dismissed as such.

Well, I seem to recall that in 2012, the Republicans hired some pollsters to tell them Romney was going to win, and they still lost. How do you explain that?

One problem I see with this, is that in order to pull this off, you have to know for a fact that the person hasn't already voted, because you're busted if you identify yourself as someone who has already voted. Also, you would have to know enough about the person to know which precinct they vote in. It would probaly take some collaboration from the election workers so that you aren't just calling out random names.

Wouldn't there be a complaint when a person showed up and their name was already crossed off? Surely there be news report of this? If a liberal's name was crossed off MSNBC would be all over it and if a conservative's name was crossed off FOX News would be all over it.
