A friend and classmate of mine was a direct descendent of those Hills and his interest in the Civil War lead a lot of us to share his interest.
I can only imagine how furious this will make he and his family.

I hope the bastards burn in hell for this. This is sick. Digging up a soldier that fell in combat at Petersburg over 150 years ago.
Exactly what happened in Saigon when the communists took over. The National Cemetery where the ARVN soldiers were buried was basically destroyed and many of the bodies removed/exhumed and/or the graves bulldozed.

I’ve heard that W&L university is getting a wee bit liberal. With more and more public school kids in the south being brainwashed, don’t be surprised in 5-10 years if this becomes a very hot topic in which Virginia decides to move his tomb to a more “private” area with support from native Virginians as well as the rest of the south.
