Don't have any video of the commercial I'm discussing but I just saw it for the first time last night and it aggravates the hell out of me.
It's a Joe Biden ad where some military guy is praising Joe for getting this armored vehicle that is really badass. During the ad there's a shot of Biden approaching a military guy and he salutes the guy with the dumbest looking salute I've ever seen. His hand was actually on the side of his head with fingertips touching the right side of his head.
And furthermore, he shouldn't be saluting anyone as he was only the Vice President, not the Commander-In-Chief.
Only the President reserves the right to salute.
Joe is a Joke!

If it resonates with those that served, they lack sufficient attention to detail. That was kind of a big deal when I was there.

He should only return a salute. Maybe if it was a Medal of Honor recipient I could see him initiating a salute, but even that is questionable since he is a civilian and never served.

Anyone that has served also knows the MRAP was manufactured in Bush’s second term, and Hiden had nothing to do with it.

True. They were developed in 2007 and although they were beneficial vs standard IEDs, by 2009 and beyond EFPs (Explosively Formed Projectiles) became the predominant threat and they cut through MRAPs like butter.
The other issue was MRAPs are very top heavy and if you go over 30MPH and turn sharply they have a likelihood to roll over. When I deployed to Iraq we landed in Kuwait and had to do MRAP rollover training. At the time we were losing more troops to rollovers than enemy contact.
