My Chinese friend told me they have been sending these over at various altitudes to test our military response times and detection capabilities.

Logical. They sent one over Northern S. America too.

Chinese sending over balloons. Us Navy sending up fighter jets and rockets. Wasting tax payer money.

The Friday before Super Bowl weekend, the gov admits to shooting down ...
another balloon? No
drone? No
an "object"? Yes.
WTF does that even mean? We just spent the better part of a week talking about the CCP's spy balloon, which was plain as day for all to see, but waited until it was over water to bring it down?
(And FYI, that wasn't a Sidewinder or any other type of missile that took down the balloon. Not how I saw it. Looked more like a single shot *ORDNANCE. Possibly a rail gun. Zero contrail or exhaust visible, but nobody wants to talk about that I guess)
2x's in 1 week our F-22's take out threats in the skies over our territory. Is Russia shaking in its boots yet?
*Corrected because dear lord, the proper spelling of the word O R D N A N C E is so god damn vital to this discussion.

Thanks grammar nazi, ORDNANCE. I'll type more accurately next time.
I guess you missed this part though...
wasn't a Sidewinder or any other type of missile
.
Still feel like ignoring the important parts or nah?

looked just like the sidewinder i saw fired over the med back in the 80s with my own eyes.
in the first shootdown the raptor was well below the target, which is EXACTLY how they want to be for a missile shot - especially over water.

There was no missile in the video. I'd say it was invisible, but there was nothing following it indicating any sort of a missile.
Unless you saw a video different from the one I saw.

I know for a fact an F22 went back Langley minus 1 sidewinder...... unless it's the camera footage from the jet, it's pretty much useless.
plus the sidewinder I saw fired and hit a jet, and I was 6500 feet below and 4-5 miles away you could not see contrails it simply looked like a green/yellow dot zipping through the air and then boom.

So I'm seeing 2 things now. Some vids show a streak of a missile as it approaches the balloon, but in others, nothing but the balloon reacting to what looks like a bullet shot. Did the missile explode in proximity to the target?

it's almost 190lbs going mach 2.5 with that kind of inertia it doesn't need to explode to splash a balloon if it hits it.
things traveling mach 1, 1.5 or even mach 2 can play tricks on eyes and camera.
hard to tell if the warhead exploded or not the jets camera would show it much clearer. Unless they changed the warhead the blast from sidewinder wasn't that big - the shrapnel hitting the target is what caused the fireball i saw.
depending on how far those cameras are and the angles, reflection and speed involved hard to say, but that is certainly a sidewinder.

and another Raptor just splashed another object over northern canada.

If we are shooting them before they go over US land, then Biden is admitting he fricked up the first one. The last balloon probably sent a ton of information back to China.

Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, and Raytheon are making serious money on these episodes.

The only thing being shot at are the barrage of criticisms being hurled at Biden for mishandling the balloon incident.
