The benefits of breast milk over formula are highly overstated.

True. I'm wondering why we opposed it rather than not engaging/participating in this resolution though.

I agree for the most part but people in general are completely ignorant about how much healthier breast feeding is. It is tied to everything from immune health to brain development.

Can you tell which humans were bf vs formula fed? No one else can either.

You assume the WHO seeks actual debate.

Are you under the impression that people are being forced to use formula?

We need companies to make money selling the milk.

The cows are not needed.

The resolution called for a complete ban on formula and other artificial infant breast-milk alternatives.

Jesus, if this is true, nuke the UN, they can't be saved.

It isn't true, the resolution said nothing of the sort. The poster was just spouting bullshite, which you'd have known if you read the article.

Usually V&S is the one calling out stuff like this.

1) False
2) Not all mothers can breastfeed. And if we are talking straight from the boob, that doesn't always work either. If we were forced to go straight from the boob for both of my sons, they would likely not be alive. Women are different. Some have different ducts/nipples/glands/etc... that can prevent the baby from getting proper nutrition. And some women, their milk doesn't even come in.

This is a good move. We don't need some world conglomerate dictating personal preferences. I'm sure the globalists were all for it.

Same thing applies for vaginal vs c section births. Vaginal is so much better for many reasons but many have no clue.

And we know one poster who doesn't have kids. You're full of shite.

Why do thy need to be "cracked down on"? Also, they shouldn't be able to advertise?

What I'm saying is 3rd world fricking moron countries take shite to the extreme. The same reason they hack up Christians in the jungle or burn down farms owned by white people, or refuse to use birthcontrol because the local witchdoctor says the UN is giving them AIDS through vaccines and poisoned wheat.

If the WHO says breastfeeding is better than formula, it could easily snowball into some banana republic dictator banning formula.

Now go reread my post, if you still don't understand, I can't help you.

Derp. Makes sense now.

As my wife says, "What? Do I have to hit you in the head so you'll understand?"

Me: "Yep, sure do".
