HOUSTON, June 11 (Reuters) - The United States has become the world's largest oil exporter, upending a decades-old order, a shift that tightens American companies' grip on energy markets.
In May, US exports reached approximately 10.5 million barrels per day.

The US's emergence as a leader was a dramatic turnaround for a country that had been dependent on Middle Eastern oil for decades and suffered severely under the 1973 oil embargo. That began to change after 2010, when shale production surged. In 2015, Washington lifted a 40-year ban on oil exports, and in just a decade, the country became the world's largest exporter, defying skeptics' predictions that the boom would be short-lived. LINK

We're celebrating selling our reserves now? Our stockpiles are the lowest since 1983.

Yay?

Most people don't realize how many products they use on a daily basis are made from petroleum-based products.

The reserves that Biden released to artificially lower prices, rather than increase drilling? Replenishing reserves happens at a certain price point.

Just like clockwork. I'll type it slower this time: since 1983.

How about Air gen?

Scientists Working to Generate Electricity From Thin Air Make Breakthrough LINK
The novel “air generator,” or Air-gen, is made from materials with holes that are under 100 nanometers in length, which is a scale thousand times smaller than a human hair. This design can pull electricity from water droplets in the air for much longer periods than previous concepts, the researchers report, suggesting that it could eventually provide a continuous and sustainable source of power.

The air generator was developed by researchers from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, who created a device that generates electricity using moisture from the air through a protein nanofilm.

Reserves were needed when we were dependent on imported oil. We're not now

We are the world’s top crude oil producer, averaging roughly 13.5 to 13.7 million barrels per day. However, American oil is mostly light, sweet crude. U.S. refineries require roughly 16.5 million barrels per day to run at peak capacity. Most of these multi-billion-dollar facilities were built decades ago to process heavy, sour crude imported from countries like Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela.
