This narrative that Trump compromising in any way is "bending the knee" and not negotiations is childish. It once again shows how the TDS crowd has to resort to absolutes.

What negotiations? We imposed a huge tariff. China called our bluff with a huge tariff.

We gave their high tech industries a huge out.

Then we said we are giving them tariff money back.

What fricking negotiations? We are getting embarrassed.

Funny how those on the left critique a punch they never would have thrown.

You have to pretend victory is all or nothing because otherwise you would be forced to admit that Trump is improving the country. You can't stand that, so you resort to claiming his accomplishments aren't really accomplishments because they aren't as great as they hypothetically could have been. You guys have to twist yourselves into pretzels to downplay Trump's accomplishments, and each time makes you look more ridiculous than the last.

The only accomplishment worth a damn thing is a wall that he started his first term. Trump's bullying tactic doesn't work on China. Thank God for Scott Bessent saving his arse.

Public perception sways policy in the U.S. China doesn't have to worry about that.

A lot of backtracking on the Trump administration these first few months. From federal employees getting hired back after firing them, no Epstein files like promised, walking back tariffs again and again, extending Tik Tok exemption (even though Republicans said it was a matter of national security), and DOGE supposedly finding all this fraud and waste (but no one is in jail).

It's a bunch of Ls so far but maybe its the 47D chess I'm not understanding.

Trump was never going to concede the AI and Data Center CapEx build to the Chinese.
