Well, if Trump has any "unforetold" plans up his sleeve, now is the time to see them through.

Here is a list someone has put together of 136 new "powers" afforded to the President now that he has declared a national emergency over this virus. Including potentially taking over the FCC (media beware...) Interesting reading for those interested.

We have traded a season of spring sports and activities for the realization that the health of future generations could be jeopardy by not having the capability to provide, in country, the medical supplies we need in pandemic situations. I would expect a move to remedy that problem post-haste, and if such remedy includes knocking a few F-35's off the purchase order, so be it.

That was a very nice thing to see, no doubt.
I'm curious about something he said in his announcement though. He said they'll be releasing a paper "in about 2 hours" (I took that as 5pm central time) with "additional steps. Very important steps" about all of this.

It was this first big-ticket manufacturing item I could come up with. The MIC has a stranglehold on Congress that will be hard to break in my lifetime, however does Lockheed really care if $135 million in revenue comes from one plane, or 135 high-tech MRI machines.
