This is the goal on both sides, correct?

On the far right, plans cheap enough that absolutely anyone can afford some degree of healthcare that the market can cater to, regardless of efficacy but covering emergency.

On the far left, single payer healthcare that covers everything but relying exclusively on the tax payer and leaning on providers to lower prices and de-incentivizing careers in medicine.

Access to health care should be the goal.

Somewhere along the road, hazard insurance was combined with health coverage, which is the problem.

I don’t need auto insurance to get an oil change, and if I don’t have auto insurance, my oil change isn’t more expensive.

That’s not really how health insurance works, but I appreciate your contribution.

I think most agree that everyone should have healthcare available. You didn't give much detail on the right version but I have issues with the left version.

exclusively on the tax payer

This isn't right. Costs won't go down, spending will be unlimited. Think military.

de-incentivizing careers

I don't know about you but I want Drs, nurses, researchers, etc. the make above competitive wages to attach the best.

Yeah, that would destroy healthcare here. People just don’t understand Healthcare in the US. It will do to Healthcare what Socialism did to Venezuela....

While not perfect, the US has destroyed the best Healthcare system on the planet.

No country in the world has this. If you have an expensive, difficult to treat condition, socialist systems will cutbyou off. See the high profile incidents in England the last few years, where children were kidnapped and murdered by the NHS.

One of those are not like the other man. Sorry you aren't smart enough to get it.

Government controlled anything has had disastrous results. VA will be a Hallmark Christmas show compared to what you want.

Agree, it’s bad now, but if it goes universal, it’s so bad that another private system will emerge...Because the normal system will be intolerable

The USA has had the world's best healthcare for over a century. It was even better before all the insurance crap and pure profiteering off the sick and injured.

The reason Universal CommieCare is seen as desirable is the profit motivations of preying upon the weakest and defenseless sick, injured, and dying and only those with serious wealth now being able to afford serious care.

Insurance 1st appealed to this desire for "best care money can buy". Now "culture" has shifted to all individuals deserve the same no matter conditions or costs. That word "culture" being intentional.

Society has been carefully cultured like a garden or a pearl with respect to expectations. Leads into a society dependent on the specious "they/them" to provide rather than on self reliance. Nothing is under an individuals control, everything is a result of "they/them". See Obama's "you didn't build that".

Want good healthcare? See to it yourself. Might have to forego some luxuries, get back to basics. The horror! Perish the thought of doing without a desire!

Do you know the difference between healthcare and insurance?? They are 2 different things.

You should pay for your maintenance. Then your insurance pays for repairs and accidents. Pretty simple, easy and affordable. Can't pay for maintenance in the US? I don't believe it.

I don’t see why granting people the freedom to contract is so bad. If someone wants catastrophic coverage, great. If someone wants concierge coverage, great. Why does the government need to be involved in those contracts?

I don't owe anyone health coverage but myself. The best policy is personal responsibility. You buy yours, I'll buy mine. It doesn't get much simpler than that.
